introducing the spring 2026 textjam
posted may 5textjam is back! its like a game jam, but you can produce anything you want, as long as its text based if you were around for textjam winter 2023, you know the deal: build something text-based over the course of a few weeks, have fun, and show off what you made at the end some of the things folks built last time: - pipes, a pipe mania game playable over ssh - spotify-cover-maker UI, a tui for generating spotify cover art - tiny text editor, a minimal text editor from scratch - Calculator, a terminal calculator this time around the jam runs from friday may 8th through saturday june 7th, so you've got a full month some things to know: - there are no winners, this is a chill jam, just make something and have fun with it - there will be in-person slots to come work on your projects, most likely the thursday cts night - at the end we'll have a show-and-tell where everyone can demo what they've been working on if you're new, don't worry, even a python script that says hello counts as a valid submission, its more about the process than the end result hop into the cts-nl discord to hang out with other participants, and check out how to submit when you're ready
